Introduction
The Argenteuil Health and Social Services Centre was established in 2003, as a result of fusion of the Hospital (which included the Pavilion and la Fontaine long-term care residential units) and the CLSC d’Argenteuil.
The Argenteuil Health and Social Services Centre serves the population of the Argenteuil MRC, which comprises some 30,000 residents, of which approximately 20% are English-speaking. To this number, about 10,000 seasonal residents can be added.
The reform initiated by the Ministry of Health and Social Services assigns the role of “local health and social service network” to the Argenteuil Health and Social Services Centre.
This confers a populational responsibility to the institution, thus mandating the maintenance and improvement of the overall state of health of the population it serves.
To do so, the Argenteuil Health and Social Services teams closely monitor the principal health needs of the population in Argenteuil, in order to adapt the services offered to the specific needs and priorities of its clientele.
Mission
The mission of the Argenteuil Health and Social Services Centre is to assure the accessibility, continuity and quality of services provided for the population of Argenteuil.
In order to do so, we must listen attentively to our clients and offer, with dignity and respect, whether in a home environment or in our facilities, personalized health care and services seeking to maintain, recover or improve the overall state of health of the population of Argenteuil.
